Dr Elyse Williams
Elyse is one of our Clinical Psychologists here at Minds & Hearts and works exclusively with adults, focusing on supporting clients with neurodivergence (Autism and ADHD), mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, PMDD, and post-natal depression, as well as anxiety disorders including panic disorder, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety.
With over eight years of experience in private practice, Elyse is dedicated to helping clients explore their neurotype and life experiences to better understand their unique needs, emotions, strengths, and values. She creates a safe, compassionate, and trauma-informed space where clients can confidently express their authentic selves. Elyse works collaboratively with her clients to develop skills for building meaningful connections and pursuing fulfilling life goals. Her background in community mental health instilled a passion for reducing social isolation and stigma, further enriching her client-centred approach.
Elyse holds a PhD in psychology from the University of Queensland and a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of New South Wales. She is trained in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy.
