Elyse Williams is a Clinical Psychologist who works with adults with mood disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, PMDD, and post-natal depression, and anxiety disorders such as panic disorder, social anxiety, and generalised anxiety.
With over ten years of experience in private practice, Elyse supports clients to explore their neurotype and past life experiences in order to develop a deeper understanding of their needs, emotional patterns, strengths, and values. Her work is grounded in a neuroaffirmative and trauma-informed framework. She is committed to creating a safe, compassionate therapeutic space where clients feel supported to express their authentic selves. Her approach is collaborative and tailored, with a focus on helping clients build meaningful connections, reduce isolation, and move toward personally meaningful and fulfilling life directions.
Elyse holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Queensland and a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of New South Wales. She is trained in a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. Her work is also informed by her research background, including publications exploring social identity and the role of arts-based groups in supporting mental health recovery, reflecting a holistic understanding of psychological wellbeing.
