Worry, stress, fear, anger and a variety of feelings and reactions are normal given the ongoing concerns and safeguard around COVID-19. During this time of added stress, continuing psychological treatment can be vital to ensuring that individuals weather the emotional and physical storm.
In the spirit of the above, Minds & Hearts wanted to let you know that our clinicians can provide alternative treatment options that do not require you to physically attend the Minds & Hearts clinic. These include telephone (telehealth) and videoconferencing (Zoom).
Telehealth treatment funding options:
- If you are using your NDIS funding there will be no difference to if you were physically present in the clinic.
- If you are using Private Health then please check with your provider. The majority of health funds have now agreed to provide coverage for teleconsultations provided by psychologists from Monday 30 March.
- Some clients may be offered services via the new COVID-19 Medicare items depending on eligibility and financial distress. Eligibility information can be viewed via this link.
- If you are not eligible to use your Mental Health Care Plan we may be able to offer reduced rates to those in financial distress.
